There are many different type of plastic kegs on the market for beer  packaging this decades, they are light weight, cheap, no need washing/cleaning/sterilization, etc., with high barrier performance to O2 and CO2 for long shelf life, most of them for one-way use and don't need to be returned, no worry of keg lost, etc... which is quite convenient for the breweries. Most of such kegs are intent to replace the stainless steel beer keg, and actually, more and more plastic kegs are using for beer packaging on the market now, but as most of such plastic kegs are for one-way use, the unit packaging cost (packaging cost per liter beer) is still higher than the one from stainless steel kegs, and the main issue is that, some of such plastic keg is not as safe as the stainless kegs, it limite the using of such plastic kegs for the beer packaging.
